With reckless abandon

i am alive and fuctioning, though i hardly feel like it after the long haul flight where james and i were nestled among screaming babies, nappy smells and pitiful amounts of leg room. I was sad to leave the US. I loved it so much, siigh.
Now in NZ, I JUST HAD A SHOWER IN THE AIRLOUNGE. it was so nice to be blissfuly alone in my expansive marbled shower, but i forgot to grab shampoo and had to use handsoap. my head smells like lavender and mauka... exotic.
Its 6am here, and i'll be home in a few hours. have lost all expression in my writing due to tiredness and hunger. im so hungry i dont have the strength to call around the corner to get some food. all i have is a few meagre jolly ranchers. i'm overusing full stops but i dont care.
.
........
in short, a holiday woudlnt be a holiday for us if one of us (usually mum or i) didnt end up in hospital! on the plus side, we've experimented with the health facilites of over 5 countries and 3 continents. so it began like this... (harp)
family arrive of the plane at denver and literally collapse in shock at the unbelieving cold. mum made a friend, the barista at starbucks and we had to drag her away to actually catch our transfer. the denver airport is a packet of laughs, to get from terminal to terminal you have to get on an undergorund train, and your journey is commentated by voiceovers from the mayor. eg "here we gooooooooo!' and steam train choo choo ing. collected our hundreds of thousands of bags, we have enough so people actually ask us if were moving, it looks like we are going to start a new colony. our meek reply is usually '.. hey.. were supporting americas skifields?".... with enough luggage to keep our plane grounded. got to transfer bus. tiny. our bags will never fit. after a 40min struggle, everyone in the bus has to sit on our luggage... ehehe.
dad and i were sandwhiched between a lovely young stephanie, who lived in breckenridge.
.. have to give up comp now.
will continue if i can find food/ get dads laptop.
